For over a year now, I've embarked on a creative journey that has not only enriched my life but also tested my limits. As an artist specializing in resin art, my mission has been to create awareness about my brand, gain a substantial following on social media, attract more clients for custom projects, use the platform as my portfolio, and venture into freelancing. My medium of choice, resin, has allowed me to explore the world of furniture, home decor, preservation, wall decor, abstract pieces, and mixed media.To me, art is a reflection of the colors and beauty that surround us every day. It's a silent voice that speaks volumes, expressing what words often fail to convey. Resin, when expertly applied, has the power to produce mesmerizing, indefinite designs, much like the ever-changing wonders of nature.The inspiration for my art can strike at any moment.... Whether I'm gazing at the vibrant hues of the sky, the calming shades of a riverside, the eclectic mix of colors in my kitchen, or the myriad of colors that dance in puddles during a rainstorm, resin art captures these moments naturally, preserving the textures and emotions they evoke.However, my artistic journey faced its most significant challenge when my husband decided to host an awards ceremony for his commerce students, after a hiatus of four years. The catch was that we needed 80 resin trophies in just seven days. With no ready materials and no one to consult, I was in a tight spot. The only solace was my determination. After sourcing the materials and working tirelessly, I miraculously crafted 85 trophies in just four days, and they were adored by all.Creativity, sometimes, can be elusive. I've encountered numerous creative blocks, but I've learned to overcome them through patience and perseverance. I dive into references, explore other artists' masterpieces, watch making videos, and pray for that magical spark to ignite once more.Being a homemaker and a part-time worker presented its own set of challenges, but I've learned that passion, patience, and an eye for detail can overcome any obstacle. My husband's support has been invaluable, and we've managed to carve out a small workspace for my art in our modest 1 BHK house.Magic is all around us, and faith can move mountains. If you love resin art, pursue it with unwavering passion; it's a source of boundless joy.I dedicate a substantial amount of time to research and conceptualization. Each of my creations should reflect my identity as an artist and resonate with the recipient's persona. Experimentation is my forte, and I draw inspiration from various art forms to craft unique, magical pieces.In the coming year, I plan to devote more time to my brand, create and showcase more resin art on my Instagram page, and attract an even larger audience.My journey in resin art began around a year and a half ago, and I've learned, grown, and earned. I've completed six to seven orders, generating around Rs25,000 to start with. Currently, I'm working on two projects – refurbishing a small wooden home mandir with resin flowers and crafting a nameplate with the name "Jyoti" in abstract cells of yellow, orange, and white.The last month has been particularly busy, with three projects in the works, totaling around Rs10,000.With each passing day, I'm receiving more orders, and I can't wait to see how my art evolves and expands.Although I've participated in four to five exhibitions, it's not for my resin art but for my other creations. However, my artistic journey wouldn't have been the same without SD Academia. It has provided me with the platform to grow as an artist and nurtured me into an ARTpreneur. I've learned not only to be a better artist but also how to market my work, make reels, create logos, and build awareness around my art.Despite the challenges and setbacks, my passion for resin art burns brighter than ever. One beach pour may have demotivated me momentarily, but my very first tray, created as a student, still fills me with the magic of resin art. It was that piece that inspired my brand name, a testament to the enduring power of creativity and passion.In this artistic journey filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and the support of loved ones, I've discovered the true enchantment of resin art.
