Unveiling Artistry: A Journey in Resin

In the last five years, I embarked on a transformative artistic journey. No longer did I wish to be bound by the past; instead, I craved the freshness of a new beginning. My artistry traversed various forms, from jewelry and furniture to home decor, wall adornments, abstract pieces, and the intriguing world of mixed media. It was a period of self-discovery, a canvas to exhibit my creative evolution. My primary goals were clear: to create awareness about my brand, gather more clients for bespoke creations, and use my digital platform as a portfolio to showcase my growing body of work. The tangible fruits of my labor included finished resin products, teaching the intricate art of resin, and conducting workshops. My journey was deeply intertwined with my city of residence, where every piece of art breathed life.Growing up, I observed my two brothers playing together, while I often stayed on the periphery.... My father, recognizing my budding creativity, gifted me my very first coloring book and crayons. It was a watershed moment, and I fell in love with colors. They were my solace during times of distress, and winning my first painting competition sealed my artistic destiny. From that moment on, I knew that I was meant to paint.Resin, with its ever-unpredictable outcomes and the fact that no two pieces are ever the same, captured my imagination. The polished, completed look of resin creations held an irresistible charm for me. One unforgettable day, I won my first painting competition, and the look of sheer delight on my friend's face when I gifted her a geode coffee table remains etched in my memory. But every artist encounters creative blocks, and mine surfaced when my family faced hardships or illness. It left me mostly frustrated, but meditation became my refuge, an oasis of calm in turbulent times. As I ventured further into the world of resin art, I never had to face any significant challenges. A supportive family stood by my side, continuously encouraging me. I believe that myths are only myths if we choose to believe in them. Believing in oneself is paramount, and I found that resin art didn't necessarily require traditional drawing or painting skills. To keep my artistic space organized, I neatly stored everything in boxes and arranged my resin and pigments on racks. It's a practice I've grown to cherish.Vincent van Gogh's words became my guiding light: "If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced." It was through the act of creating that I truly understood the profound joy of artistry. Once you experience it, you never want to stop.Countless ideas continue to flood my mind, and though I haven't tried them all, I'm planning to bring these visions to life through resin. Selling my creations is a path I've yet to embark upon, but I've gifted most of my products, including trays, coasters, and coffee tables, and witnessed the smiles they brought to my family and friends.Soon, a few orders are expected to materialize, promising a handsome reward. River tables and lamps have been particularly popular, and they've been met with growing demand ever since I started selling them.In the realm of exhibitions, I've showcased my creations in three to four exhibitions in Hyderabad. SD Academia is the place where I learned that, despite teaching arts and crafts for over 20 years, I could successfully market my creations. Entrepreneurial lectures and product presentations opened my eyes to the possibilities.I never experienced a demotivated moment in any of my classes. In fact, I felt an immense sense of pride in completing my river table, river lamp, and the captivating carnation table. These projects have been a source of immense joy.My artistic journey has been a revelation, a voyage through diverse forms of expression. With resin as my medium, I've discovered the power of self-belief, and I'm eager to explore the uncharted territories of my creative mind. The possibilities are limitless, and I'm excited to share my artistic voyage with the world, one resin masterpiece at a time.
