Exploring Life's Colors Through Resin Art: A Journey of Inspiration and Healing

Life is a journey that leads us down unexpected paths, and for me, that path led to the enchanting world of resin art. My name is Rakhi Dalia and I've recently embarked on this artistic adventure. It's a path filled with inspiration drawn from the gifts of nature and the vibrant palette of colors that life has to offer. As a newcomer to the world of art, my journey began with the simple desire to create beautiful pieces of furniture, home decor, wall decor, and abstract art using mixed media. But it quickly transformed into a deeper mission - to create awareness about my brand, connect with clients seeking customization, use this platform as my artistic portfolio, and venture into the world of freelancing. My love for resin art was ignited by the belief that it's a beautiful medium for preserving memories in any shape or color. Resin art opens the door to endless possibilities, allowing artists like me to create truly magical effects.... It's a medium that blends seamlessly with my fascination for the vibrant colors of nature. The catalyst for my artistic journey was a bittersweet moment, one that holds a special place in my heart. It was the day my son received the first prize in a drawing competition. The long hours of hard work and dedication we put into refining his skills paid off, as his art piece shone with brilliance. The pride in his eyes and the joy he exuded while explaining his competition experience are etched in my memory forever. But life isn't always about moments of triumph; sometimes, it throws you into the depths of despair. That moment came when we welcomed a new member into our family, a beautiful niece. Our joy was short-lived, as tragedy struck, and we lost her at just five months old. The pain was indescribable. It felt as though life had come to a standstill, shattering our world. To cope with the overwhelming grief, I turned to art. Creating something became a lifeline, a way to keep my mind and thoughts engaged. Choosing art as a profession was a challenging decision, but with unwavering support from my husband, I embarked on this journey. His belief in me made all the difference. Many people wonder if prior drawing or painting skills are necessary to become a resin artist. In my opinion, they are not. Resin art is an accessible form of art, welcoming anyone with the desire to create. No prior experience is required; it's a medium that anyone can learn. One of the challenges of working with resin is the need for storage space. However, I've managed to transform my study room into a resin studio, neatly organizing molds, pigments, and ready products to prevent damage and scratches.Inspirational quotes have played a significant role in my journey, one of them being Sushmita Sen's words: "Hum kisi se khushiyan maange, ye hume manzoor nhi, MANGI HUI Khuhshiyon se, Kiska bhalaa hota hai." Her story of adopting a girl child as a single mother at the age of 24 is a testament that nothing is impossible in life.Resin art has become my therapy, a way to relieve stress while creating beautiful art pieces. It's a form of art that once you start, you'll find yourself falling in love with.My journey doesn't stop here; I'm constantly exploring new techniques like Diana canvas and unique pouring techniques to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. My goal is to establish my resin business with a range of unique home decor and corporate resin gifting materials, including serving trays, clocks, pooja thalis, and rakhis.I've recently started and received orders for my products, and I'm excited to expand my offerings. I owe much of my success to SD Academia, which has been instrumental in supporting my resin startup. Their materials, talented instructors, and assistance with marketing and establishing an online presence have been invaluable. As I look back on my journey that began on May 31st, I remember the moments of doubt and frustration, but also the moments of pride and accomplishment. There were two particularly memorable classes - the first, a resin tray class with Sharad Sir, and the second, a Diana canvas class with Ms. Priya Ma'am. These classes not only taught me the technical aspects of resin art but also gave me the confidence to keep moving forward. As I continue down this colorful path, I'm excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Resin art has not only become my passion but also a source of healing, and I can't wait to share more of my creations with the world.
