Resin Art: Crafting My Dreams into Reality

Over a year ago, I embarked on a creative journey that has transformed my life in remarkable ways. Today, I share my story as an artist working with resin art, turning curiosity into a thriving passion and business.I vividly remember the day I stumbled upon the captivating world of resin art while scrolling through Instagram. The dazzling resin-made items beckoned my curiosity, and I decided to delve into this mesmerizing realm. Before even attending my first online class on resin ocean art, I took the plunge and created my first piece at home. To my delight, it turned out beautifully. This initial success lit a spark within me, pushing me to explore this fascinating medium further. As my fascination grew, I made the decision to expand my knowledge and skills. I found myself enrolling in live classes in Jaipur, where I honed my craft and connected with like-minded individuals. Today, I am proud to be associated with SD Academia, an institution that has profoundly enriched my artistic journey....Resin art spoke to me for its endless possibilities. It allows me to experiment with a plethora of colors, textures, and effects. The creative process brings me immense joy, satisfaction, and relaxation, making it an ideal medium to express my artistic vision. My dedication to perfection is unwavering. I do not consider a piece complete until it meets my exacting standards. One of my proudest achievements is my black and white geode art on a mirror. It posed a significant challenge due to the intricacy of working with black and white, opposites that are tricky to handle. However, when I completed it, the final product exceeded my wildest expectations. It is moments like these that fill me with pride.Creativity flows seamlessly for me; I rarely experience creative blocks. I am constantly brainstorming new ideas and concepts, ensuring that each design I create is unique and captivating. When these ideas materialize into exquisite, elegant designs, my heart brims with joy and satisfaction.I have loved art and craft since childhood, and my family's unwavering support and motivation encouraged me to transform my passion into a career. Resin art, with its trending status and boundless potential, has become my chosen path. It fills me with immense pride and satisfaction to turn my love for art into a livelihood.Resin art does not rely on traditional drawing or painting skills; instead, it is fueled by imagination and creativity. While I agree that resin art products need careful handling, I have found success in coating my creations with nano-coating to make them scratch-proof and waterproof, ensuring their longevity.Despite being 49 years old, I hold on to the belief that "It's never too late" to pursue your passions. Learning is a lifelong journey, and age should never deter anyone from working on what they love.To aspiring resin artists, I recommend taking your time, particularly when securing the edges and backside of your creations. This essential step ensures your final product lives up to your expectations. My success can be attributed to three key factors: high-quality resin, unique and creative designs, and the use of small embellishments to enhance the beauty of the final product. In the coming year, I aim to host exhibitions, conduct classes to share my knowledge, and expand my product range while building recognition for my brand.Among my best-selling products are Mantra Frames and Wall Clocks, which have garnered substantial demand. Since starting this business, I have generated a steady income, making approximately Rs. 25,000-30,000.Currently, I am engrossed in crafting light pyramids for kids, a task that presents unique challenges, particularly in achieving a bubble-free finish. I am experimenting with various techniques and learning valuable lessons from each attempt.Though order frequency remains modest at this early stage, I anticipate a surge in orders during the festival season and beyond. As I look to the future, I plan to participate in exhibitions to showcase my creations.Connecting with SD Academia four months ago has been a significant turning point in my journey. The knowledge and techniques I have acquired have elevated my craft to new heights.Despite the occasional setbacks, the sense of accomplishment I feel when creating my art is unparalleled. I cherish every product I make, whether big or small, as they manifest exactly as I imagine when I adhere to the do's and don'ts.A few standout classes have left lasting impressions. The Alcohol Ink (Gulaab table) class with Priya Mam introduced me to a unique technique that resembled magic. The roses crafted with alcohol ink appeared remarkably lifelike. Another memorable class was the Sunflower table Alcohol Ink class with Mandy Mam, where the ink's effects left me deeply satisfied. In conclusion, my journey in the world of resin art is a testament to the transformative power of following one's passion, no matter the age. With a family's unwavering support and the dedication to never give up, I have turned curiosity into a thriving artistic career. Resin art has opened up endless opportunities for me, allowing my creativity to shine through. As I continue to learn, grow, and create, I look forward to sharing my art with the world, one mesmerizing resin piece at a time.
