Navigating Colors: The Artistic Journey of Navdeep Kaur

Meet Navdeep Kaur, a 39-year-old resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, whose artistic endeavors have brought vibrancy to her life and those around her. Nestled in House No. 54, New Suraj Ganj, near Nari Niketan on Nakodar Road, Navdeep is not just a fashion design teacher but a passionate resin artist who has added a unique touch to the world of colors. Navdeep's journey into the realm of resin art commenced two years ago, driven by the desire to explore a distinctive form of artistic expression. While she currently doesn't have a business model for selling her art products, her aspiration to start one soon reflects her dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. In the expansive field of resin art, Navdeep's specialties are diverse, reflecting her willingness to experiment and embrace creativity. Her choice to delve into resin art was inspired by the allure of captivating products showcased on social media. With 23 years of experience in fabric painting, Navdeep sought a new challenge and found solace in the unique world of resin art. Reflecting on her journey, Navdeep shares a cherished memory - being selected as the Pdlite Expert Teacher for workshops.... This recognition marked a significant achievement, and the experience of imparting knowledge to 50 teachers in her workshop remains etched in her memory. Creativity, for Navdeep, is not always a smooth flow. She faces creative blocks that bring frustration, but her approach involves trying new things to overcome these hurdles. Challenges in her profession are met with resilience, as she takes a step back, gathers new ideas, and returns with improved solutions. Addressing the myth that every resin artist needs to be skilled at drawing or painting, Navdeep emphasizes the importance of daily practice and a thorough understanding of color theory. Regarding the space challenges associated with resin art, Navdeep suggests focusing on smaller articles that are easier to store, taking precautions against dust and insects. Motivated by compliments like "magic in your hands" and the Punjabi expression "tuci rooh naal kam karde ho," Navdeep encourages aspiring resin artists to be confident and maintain interest in their craft. As she looks ahead, Navdeep plans to elevate her resin art expertise, integrating it into her teaching line. With a commitment to quality, she envisions growth for her resin brand in the coming year. Despite her recent foray into resin art, Navdeep's first product, sold for 6000rs to a customer in New Zealand, speaks volumes about her potential. Currently working on new resin products with mixed media techniques, Navdeep's artistic journey promises exciting developments. Her association with SD Academia for the past two years has been instrumental, providing her with valuable ideas that have fueled her resin art journey. While Navdeep acknowledges moments of demotivation, the joy of creating unique and beautiful pieces far outweighs the challenges. In her most memorable class with SD Academia, the 'Introduction of Resin,' Navdeep delved into the intricacies of resin and explored a plethora of pigments, laying the foundation for her ongoing artistic odyssey.
