From Bottle Art to Resin Magic: The Journey of an Aspiring Artist

Once upon a time, in a quaint little town, there lived an artist with dreams as vibrant as the colors she wielded. Her name was Vibgyor, and she had a story that was as unique as her artistic creations. It all began a year ago, when Vibgyor decided to take a leap of faith and set up her own shop, an Instagram page, and an online store. Her passion for art had always burned brightly, but it was time to share her creations with the world. Her chosen path? Resin art, a mesmerizing realm of possibilities that she believed would help her create stunning home decor and wall decor pieces. With a clear goal in mind – to create awareness about her brand, gain social media followers, and attract clients for customization – Vibgyor embarked on her artistic journey. But her story didn't start with resin art; it began with bottle art, an unexpected twist of fate triggered by a YouTube video she stumbled upon.As a child, Vibgyor had always been drawn to colors and brushes.... Art was an intrinsic part of her life, a passion that only intensified as she grew older. One day, while scrolling through YouTube, a bottle art video caught her eye. The thought of creating art on bottles intrigued her, and she decided to give it a try. Little did she know that this 'Hatke' form of art would be the spark that ignited her inner artist.Vibgyor began her artistic journey by crafting different themes on bottles, attracting the attention of family and friends. But her destiny took an unexpected turn when she discovered Sharad sir's introductory resin session on creating a resin tray. Intrigued by the fascinating world of resin art, she attended the session and was immediately captivated.Resin art, she realized, was more than just an art form; it was a therapeutic experience. Eager to explore this new realm, Vibgyor joined SD Academia, where she learned a plethora of techniques from various tutors. Resin art, she decided, was her calling, and she was determined to become a resin artist, honing her craft with each passing day.As she honed her skills, Vibgyor also discovered the joy of taking custom orders. One such memorable moment was when her cousin from Canada approached her to create personalized photo bottles for her daughter's 10th birthday. With just 12 days to complete the task, Vibgyor worked tirelessly, pouring her heart and soul into each bottle. The end result was a resounding success, and her cousin was overjoyed with the unique and thoughtful gifts.Another proud moment in Vibgyor's journey was when she conducted a Christmas workshop for 60 children at a prestigious club in Ahmedabad. The opportunity to inspire young minds and share her love for art filled her with immense pride. But like every artist, Vibgyor faced her fair share of creative blocks. Daily struggles to find inspiration were common, but she had her own remedy – music. Music, she believed, was a therapy that could wash away creative blockages. A cup of tea, her favorite songs, and a little dance were all it took to rekindle her artistic spark. For Vibgyor, the path of a solo artpreneur came with its own set of challenges, but her determination to overcome them shone through. She decided to start her own home decor and gifting business, aiming to take on bigger projects and collaborations with interior designers. When it came to dispelling myths about resin art, Vibgyor was quick to debunk the notion that every resin artist must be a master of drawing or painting. In her eyes, a good sense of colors, the ability to choose the right color combinations, and, most importantly, experience were the keys to excelling in resin art.Yet, the challenges of resin art extended beyond creativity. Storage was a constant concern as resin art products required ample space. Vibgyor had dedicated a separate room for her creations, albeit shared with her daughter's toys, making it a challenging yet manageable endeavor. To keep her motivation aflame, Vibgyor turned to a quote from the movie PINK: "तू खुद की खोज में निकल तू किस लिए हताश है, तू चल, तेरे वजूद की समय को भी तलाश है समय को भी तलाश है!" This dialogue served as a constant source of inspiration during moments of self-doubt and creative challenges. For those aspiring to venture into resin art, Vibgyor's advice was simple: be patient, be unique, and understand your unique selling point (USP). Above all, safety measures like wearing gloves and masks are non-negotiable.Looking ahead, Vibgyor had ambitious plans. She aimed to establish her own studio, collaborate with interior designers, and take on commission works. She envisioned a future where her brand, Vibgyor's, would be a household name, spreading its roots internationally. With her highest-selling products being resin mantra frames and Tilak thalis, Vibgyor had come a long way since her journey began. Her revenue had soared, and her average monthly orders stood at an impressive six to seven.Though she had never participated in offline exhibitions, it was a goal she was determined to achieve. Vibgyor's association with SD Academia had been transformative, turning her from an art enthusiast into a skilled resin artist. Five months into her journey with SD Academia, Vibgyor had experienced a whirlwind of growth and learning. Her journey had its share of ups and downs. Her initial resin tray wasn't the masterpiece she envisioned, but she persevered. The 'Textured Clock' she created next, however, left her in awe. It was a turning point that filled her with immense pride.Reflecting on her most memorable classes, Vibgyor recalled Sharad sir's introductory tray session and her photography class with Priya mam. Under Priya's guidance, Vibgyor had not only improved her resin art but also honed her photography and videography skills.
