Diksha's choice to decorate a thali with colorful rice and handcrafted rakhi impressed her teachers, earning her first prizes in both categories. This triumph cemented her bond with art and set her on a creative path.Like any artist, Diksha encounters her share of creative blocks. However, her challenges are unique, stemming from the demands of motherhood and the delicate balance between caring for her child and nurturing her art. Time constraints often disrupt her set routines, leaving her with unfinished projects and a tangled web of thoughts.During these moments of creative impasse, Diksha finds solace in watching web series on OTT platforms or embarking on a drive or ice cream date with her husband, seeking his counsel to break through her creative barriers.Starting a new venture is never without its challenges, and Diksha faced skepticism from both sides of her family when she embarked on her resin art journey with a four-month-old baby in tow. However, her determination and conviction reassured them that she could balance both her art and motherhood.Resin art stands out as a unique form of artistic expression. Unlike traditional drawing or painting, it involves understanding the flow of a liquid, manipulating colors using resin, and employing various techniques with tools like blow dryers and heat guns. This novel approach to art allowed Diksha to unleash her creativity without conventional brush strokes or pencil marks.One significant challenge Diksha faces in her resin art journey is the issue of space and storage, especially since she creates clocks and furniture. To overcome this, she has repurposed some of her home's areas, freeing up space for her resin materials. For packaging, she opts for DIY boxes, which take up less room compared to conventional packaging.Diksha draws inspiration from the quote, "Who you are tomorrow begins with what you do today," by Tim Fargo. This mantra fuels her artistic journey, motivating her to continue her resin art amidst the demands of motherhood. She envisions establishing her brand, "MOONSTONE CREATIONS," and making it synonymous with quality and finish, delivering high-end products to a niche clientele.For those venturing into resin art, Diksha offers valuable advice: meticulously mix resin in proper ratios, and never be disheartened by the outcome of your first product.
