Resin Dreams: A Journey from Childhood Inspiration to Artistic Triumph

I started my artistic journey not too long ago, armed with determination, dreams, and a burning desire to create beautiful pieces of art. As I sit here, reflecting on how far I've come, I can't help but smile at the path that led me to where I am today.Inspiration often strikes at the most unexpected moments, and for me, it was my elder sister, Farha Nazz, who ignited the artistic spark within me. I vividly remember the days when I was just a third-grader, trying to replicate her artwork. Her creativity fascinated me, and I yearned to draw and paint just like her. Farha became not only my art teacher but also my enduring source of inspiration.Despite my early fascination with art, I had no inkling of the mesmerizing world of resin art until I stumbled upon pictures and videos of it recently. The technique, the flawless finishing, and the glossy shine of resin creations captured my heart, and I knew I had to learn this art form. So, I embarked on my journey to master resin art under the guidance of SD.My journey as an artist took a significant leap in the sixth grade when my school organized a painting competition spanning all grades.... I poured my heart and soul into my artwork and was elated to clinch the second prize. That momentous win lit a fire within me, driving me to participate in every painting competition that crossed my path.Life, however, has its way of throwing challenges at us. When I was in the tenth grade, I faced a severe health issue that left me feeling helpless and unable to pursue my artistic passions. It was a dark time, and I wondered if I would ever create art again. But resilience runs deep in my veins, and I vowed to overcome the odds and prove to myself and my loved ones that I could follow my artistic dreams. Many times along the way, I faced opposition from family and relatives who questioned my artistic pursuits. Despite the doubts and negativity, I persisted, choosing to ignore the bad vibes and immerse myself in painting and drawing, particularly intricate mehndi designs that offered me solace and a fresh perspective. My journey wasn't without its fair share of obstacles, especially with my family and father-in-law not fully supporting my artistic endeavors. Nevertheless, my unwavering love for art kept me going. Art wasn't just a hobby; it was my life, my love, my world.I always believed in thinking creatively and beyond boundaries. I realized that perfection in art doesn't necessarily mean flawless execution; it's about the presentation and the story your art tells. I aimed to create art that spoke to people, that made them say, "Wow, good work!" because those words of appreciation were my motivation to keep pushing the boundaries of my creativity. As any artist knows, finding a place to store all your art supplies can be a daunting task. In my case, I ingeniously repurposed the guest room to store everything I needed to fuel my artistic passions. The praise and encouragement of those who appreciated my work became my driving force. Those moments when someone exclaimed, "Wow, good work!" urged me to push my creative boundaries even further.Art safety was always paramount to me. I made sure to wear masks and gloves when working with various materials, prioritizing both my well-being and the quality of my creations.Looking ahead, I'm filled with ambitious plans. I'm working on creating my own website and starting my very own resin art furniture showroom. It's a dream I'm determined to turn into a reality. In my artistic journey so far, I've already achieved some remarkable milestones. I've sold exquisite rose petal with gold leaf transparent resin keychains and tables, garnering a total of 15,000/- rupees. My portfolio boasts an array of different-shaped tables, stools, and the mesmerizing river table technique, priced between 3,500/- and 1,000-1,500/- rupees. As I reflect on my journey, I can't help but appreciate the pivotal role played by SD Accademia. It has been the stage where I could explore the limitless bounds of my creativity, expanding my horizons and pushing the limits of what I thought was possible. There were moments of trial and error. I recall creating a clock that initially received praise, but when I attempted to pour white and gold resin, I accidentally added too much gold, resulting in a less-than-ideal outcome. However, I learned from my mistakes and grew as an artist.Other cherished memories include crafting a concrete candle with a vibrant purple hue that was adored by Priya Mam. Creating an underwater lamp, complete with miniature aquatic creatures, earned accolades from Mandy Mam. And when I embarked on the challenge of making a river table, I incorporated my mini creatures and added details like grass, earning the approval of my mentor. My first class at SD Accademia, where I created a round tray using resin art, elicited a resounding "wooooow" from my peers and instructors. The river table class was particularly close to my heart, as it allowed me to immerse myself in a project that I loved. My journey as an artist has been one of passion, resilience, and unwavering determination. From childhood inspiration to the trials and tribulations along the way, my love for art has led me to where I stand today. It's a journey I'm immensely proud of, and I can't wait to see where my artistic endeavors take me next.In conclusion, I believe that art is not just a vocation; it's a way of life. It's about thinking creatively, pushing boundaries, and creating beauty that resonates with others. And as I continue to chase my dreams, I hope to inspire others to do the same. Art is my life, my love, my world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
